Smilebuilderz, a locally owned and operated dental practice, is seeking an experienced endodontic dental assistant in Lancaster County. This is a part-time opportunity, and we love to promote from within.

Job Summary:

This is a position with primary responsibility for assisting doctors in all aspects of dental procedures, focusing mostly on periodontics, with some involvement with endodontics and oral surgery.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Set up and break down for all dental procedures. 
  • Skill in using equipment necessary to assist doctors with all procedures.
  • Skill in using digital practice management software (including but not limited to digital x-rays, treatment planning, clinical note documentation, lab case management.)
  • Patient education
  • Seating and Dismissing patients 
  • Participate and present in scheduled training days and meetings, including presenting on topics, books, and relevant information

Other Functions:

  • Task lab case management (check in and file laboratory cases)
  • Boost Whitening Treatment
  • Serve on company committee(s)

In addition to the functions listed above, the DA is expected to exercise honesty, integrity, and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy and efficiency, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, exemplify attention to detail, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, complete all daily duties, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. The employee is also expected to perform other duties and functions as required from time to time.


  • PA Radiology certification (required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Machines/Tools/Equipment: Computers, Dentrix software, Digital Radiographs and Panoramic/Cephalometric Machine, Impression Materials, Model Trimmer, Vacuform, Whitening equipment.

Working Conditions: Primarily a controlled office environment
