Due to continued growth, Smilebuilderz is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist with dental knowledge. This is a fulltime role with an excellent benefits package, and we love to promote from within.

Job Summary:

Position with primary responsibility for investigating and resolving all medical and dental insurance problems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Submit claims and predeterminations to insurance companies.
  • Analyze family ledgers.
  • Post payments received to appropriate ledgers.
  • Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid claims.
  • Support other departments as required.
  • Attend and participate in meetings when applicable.
  • Provide exceptional patient service.
  • Maintain patient privacy.

Other Functions:

  • Participate in company committee(s)
  • Other duties that may be assigned by Administrative Department Director

In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all patients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and patients, work with accuracy and efficiency, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, exemplify attention to detail, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, complete all daily tasks and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible.  The employee is also expected to perform other duties and functions as required from time to time.


  • High School Diploma, college degree preferred
  • Knowledge of dental procedures preferred
  • Excellent computer/keyboarding skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task


  • Computer, basic office equipment (copier, calculator, fax, etc.), multi-line phone system
